Comprehensive New Patient Exam

This appointment is focused on getting to know you and completing the examination to help you find a happy, healthy smile. After your dental and medical history is reviewed and discussed, your dentist at Smile Exchange will visually examine all of your teeth and review the X-rays, complete an oral cancer screening, and our hygienist will examine your gums and bone levels. We will take the time to discuss your treatment goals and provide you options for any treatment you may have.

X-rays

As a new patients receive a comprehensive new patient examination and most commonly take a full mouth series of X-rays at the initial visit, or those X-rays that the doctor feels necessary for proper diagnosis. X-rays are important for us to be able to see a complete picture of your teeth, gums, and jaw to ensure proper diagnosis, if any concerns exist.

Personalized Care Plan

During your New Patient visit, you and the dentist, hygienist, and team will discuss any findings, recommendations, or desires identified during the visit and create a care plan. Lastly, you will meet our treatment coordinator who will review your treatment with you in a consultation and address any questions, concerns and expectations you may have and schedule your next visits. We offer many options that will make your care convenient, comfortable, and affordable.  We look forward to meeting you and providing care so you leave with a smile.
